An Inconvenient Truth

Today's Hartford Courant ran an article about the European continental glaciers melting. Read the article Experts see end to Alpine Glaciers. That reminded me of the article from January 2 about the The Threatened Polar Bear. And that reminded me that we are showing An Inconvenient Truth on Tuesday, January 30 @ 6:30 p.m. Dr. Barbara Nicholson, Associate Professor of Biology at CCSU, is joining us to lead discussion after the film.

I saw the movie in the theatres. The visuals were shocking. There were then and now photos that illustrated the drastic decrease of the Alpine Glaciers. Graphs showing the increase in average temperature. Al Gore was passionate and compelling as he urged viewers to consider the consequences of global warming.

Please come to the library Tuesday January 30 @ 6:30 p.m. to watch this movie and discuss it with your neighbors.
